ABOUT

My work is inspired by the ever changing natural environment in Scotland, particularly from that of my home in Orkney. The balance between sea and sky provides a constant influence, consistently feeding into my colour stories and imagery. As a designer, my work is very process driven with experimental dyeing, knitting, collage, weave and print. I highly value sustainability and expression within my work, I am always trying to create in a way mindful of the environment which allows time and care into each piece.

I studied Textile Design at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in Dundee, where I am specialised in knit. In the January to June semester of 2022, I studied abroad at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art & Design in Budapest, where I also studied fashion design and woven textiles.
