Knitted sample work from university projects, using a mixture of cotton, lambswool and acrylic yarn.
Landscape project
Creating a knitted scarf to create the impression of time and distance, spanning between my home in Orkney and my home at university in Dundee. Textures and colours reflecting the Scottish highlands between the two points, the motion sickness and exhaustion from the duration of such a long journey.

Final presentation boards
Inspired by the golden eagle colourings and markings, using design to revitalise the idea of the species which is declining in population in Scotland. Using techniques such as fabric dyeing, linking, tasselling and double-hem knitting to inject new life into tired second-hand knitted garments.
